Natural grey worsted Navajo wool warps are available in 2, 3, and 4-ply styles. Worsted wool warps are suitable for any weft-face project including rugs, wall hangings, Navajo designs and tapestry. Because they are worsted wool they are both supple and very strong. For tapestries choose the 2 or 3-ply warp and set it at 6-10 ends per inch. Then use Botanica (Item 15), Geo (Item 3) or Deco (Item 2) for the weft. Ethnic geometric designs also work well at this sett. For weft faced rugs, use the 4-ply wool single, or doubled for extra body, at 4 ends per inch for tabby or 5-6 ends per inch for twill. For weft, you’ll find every color you could want (almost) in Halcyon Rug Wool (Item 1). Deco and Geo (items 2 and 3) may also be used but double these yarns for a good weave. 2-ply 3-ply 4-ply Yards per pound 1040 700 560 Yards per mini cone 260 175 140
