This class will cover everything you need to know to start spinning! Students will learn how to spin and ply yarn on a hand spindle and spinning wheel. Hand spindles will be provided, but students will need a spinning wheel in good working order. For those who need a spinning wheel, there is a $25 rental fee redeemable with the purchase of a spinning wheel within 15 days of the end of class. |

This class sold out last session, so we've added it to our summer schedule! Use a drumcarder or hand cards to learn the tricks for creating colors with depth and complexity, and "have a ball" as you discover optical blendi ng. After some hands-on color theory, use your beautifully blended fiber samples to spin yarn for a fun, quick-to-knit project that can be a plaything, an ornament or a kitty toy. Hand spindles are provided, or you may bring your spinning wheel, in good working order. This is a class for those with beginner or better spinning and knitting skills.
