Tree Topper Angel Sarah Sousa
The tree-topper angel is needle felted entirely, no stitching goes into the piece. Also, no wire armature is used. I simply begin with a ball for the head, add neck, shoulders, bodice, building as I go. The face is essentially sculpted and is what I’m most proud of. I don’t add wool to make the face, but “pull” features out with the needle.

Materials: Merino top for face and skirting, Shetland and Romney for structure, commercial yarn for hair, mohair top for shirt and decor, felting needles, pillow, knob for using multiple needles.
