Weaving with sock yarns? You've come to the right place!
We've always contended you can "weave" with any yarn as long as you give it respect and use it appropriately.
So we were thrilled when Lorraine at Handwoven asked us to help sponsor this exciting contest to get you using the beautiful colorways easily found in sock yarns to create original weaving projects. We like them paired and mingled with solids in multiple textures. In stripes they mimic ikat weaving and used warp and weft they create fascinating collages of color that are fabulous in wearables for you or your couch.
