About: Soft Finish Linen Warps 8/2 thru 8/5

These are the traditional warps for Scandinavian rugs such as rya and krokbragd and for many styles of tapestry weaving. Linen warps are stiffer than wool warps and give more body to your finished piece. Use the 2, 3 or even 4 ply styles single for tapestries and wall hangings and use the 3, 4, or 5-ply double for heavier rugs at wider setts. Remember you have to twist or braid and then wrap the ends of your warp fringe groups or weave individual ends back into the weave. Loose fringes and knots will quickly wear away to fuzz under foot.
