Stay warm in style with this unique crocheted layering piece! 50,000 Spaceships is an excellent way to play with your favorite Malabrigo Merino Worsted colorway, or choose any of your favorite worsted weight yarns for a versatile accessory you'll want to wear every day. Whatever color you choose, you'll love the unconventional shape of this ponchette, which allows your arms to move freely while keeping everything else surprisingly cozy.
Worked from the bottom up, the front and back flaps are crocheted separately before joining to finish the piece in the round. Regular decreases do the rest of the shaping, with a simple two row slipped stitch pattern repeat that is easy enough for an advanced beginner.
Finished measurements after blocking:
Height: 17.25"; Flap depth: 9.25"; Front flap width: 17.5"; Back flap width: 19.5"; Neck circumference: 27"

Project requires 3 skeins Malabrigo Merino Worsted, or approximately 630 yards worsted weight yarn.
