Basic Shell Tank Top Pattern (#997) knitting pure simple download

The Basic Shell tank top in stockinette stitch is never out of place under a jacket or as a breezy summer top. Knit circular to the armholes for a quick project!

A simple, well fitting shell, written at 5 stitches to the inch, for worsted or DK weight yarn. The shoulders fit well even in the larger sizes.

Sizes- x-small, small, medium, large, x-large
Finished measurements-
Chest- 32, 35, 38, 41, 44 ins.
Length- 22 ins.

Materials- worsted or dk weight yarn:
750; 765; 840; 950; 1,020 yds.
24 inch circular needles sizes 6 and 4; 16 inch circular needle size 4 or sizes required to get the gauge.

Gauge- using the larger needles in stockinette st, 20 sts equal 4 inches.

(Part of this shell is done in the round and part back & forth. Make sure you do a swatch circularly and one back & forth. You may need to use a smaller needle on the purl rows, on the back & forth sections to keep your gauge the same.)
