14 fascinating projects for weavers on 4 and 8 shafts. Deflected doubleweave was not explored as a specific weave structure until the late 1990s. Its special traits make  it a must for every contemporary weaver’s repertoire. As a block weave, its design potential is unequaled on a minimum number of shafts. It can produce fabrics of every type of hand: from supple shawls and scarves to absorbent towels to sturdy mats and runners. Best of all, if one of the weaves is woven in yarns that shrink and the other in yarns that don’t, amazing textures and shapes can be created. This eBook is a collection of almost all of the projects in deflected doubleweave that have appeared in the weaving literature since this exploration started. Use this book with the drafting and weaving theory presented the Weaving Deflected Doubleweave video to be on the cuttiing edge of deflected doubleweave design—its possibilities are only beginning to be realized.
