Potassium Aluminum Sulfate ( Alum ) 1-lb

The most commonly used mordant in natural dyeing. Use to mordant all protein fibers and cellulose fibers that are classified as leaf (abaca, pineapple, agave, hennequin, etc). Makes 7.5 gallons. This finely ground form of alum is free from impurities and does not contain iron. We recommend using this at 15-25% WOF (weight of fiber) for mordanting your fiber.
