Designed for Sargent Michael Wall and his unit serving in Afghanistan. Great for texting or typing while keeping your hands toasty warm with a foldover mitten flap.
For added durability you can reinforce the palm with canvas, felt, or leather. Maximum dexterity when flipped open, maximum warmth with the top down!

This pattern is for men’s sizes Medium and Large; when there are separate directions
for each size, size L is in ( ).

Materials: Two 3.5 oz skeins of worsted weight 100% wool (at least 350 yds)(i.e., Halcyon Yarn Botanica/Norumbega, Bartlett, Peace Fleece, Lamb’s Pride Worsted, Harrisville Highland, or other hearty worsted/Aran weight yarn).

Set of 4 double pointed needles, U.S. sizes 5 (or size to achieve gauge) and 6 for
making rounds. Small amount of contrast yarn, Stitch markers, Tapestry needle.

Gauge: 22 sts = 4” with size 5 needle in stockinette st
