Leclerc Weavebird V2 Floor Loom

An extraordinary loom for complex weaving, from the experts at Leclerc.

The Weavebird features a center-closed dobby shedding system without jacks, lams, or tie-ups, allowing unlimited shaft combinations and pattern repeats. Two treadles, hinged at the back, actuate the shedding mechanism. This design manages both rising and sinking sheds, ensuring even tension across the warp threads. By having some warp threads rise as others sink, yarn stretch is reduced. The loom's right treadle opens the shed, while the left closes it. Leclerc’s distinctive shaft counterweight system minimizes physical exertion, making the treadling effort comparable to that of a 4-shaft counterbalance loom.
