Jagger Bros, Springvale, ME.
We'll tour the mill and see all the processes of blending, drawing, roving,
spinning, winding, twisting and finally shipping Jagger Yarns. Jagger Yarns
are worsted spun as they have been continually since the 1880's. Jagger
Bros produces fine hand weaving yarns in 6 ranges with 28 – 54 shades.
Halcyon Yarn is proud to offer Jagger Yarns to our customers.
•
Saco River Dyehouse, Biddeford, ME.
Saco River Dyehouse, owned and managed by Ken and Claudia Raesler, is
a new company that opened in 2013. The dyehouse grew out of
the Johnson Creative Arts Dyehouse that closed a few years ago. Ken and
Claudia purchased the equipment and proprietary information and
convinced dyemaster Don Morton to supervise the move and set-up in
Biddeford. Second dyemaster Muhammad Malik soon joined the ranks and
the dyehouse has been growing ever since. Saco River Dyehouse primarily
dyes large jobs but smaller, custom jobs are also welcome. The company
dyes many of Halcyon Yarn’s Signature yarns.

Susan Mills' Studio, Bowdoin, ME.
Artist, feltmaker, teacher, photographer, set designer, Susan Mills is multi-
talented. We will visit Susan's lovely studio and home located in rural Bowdoin
where she will give us a tour and talk about her work and it's inspiration.
We at Halcyon Yarn are proud and happy to have Susan as one of our
teachers as her students always leave class happy and with a successful
piece of felt art.
