Glimakra Julia 26", 8-shaft, Countermarch Loom, Natural Finish

Glimakra's Julia is the little loom with big potential! Compact and quiet, this space saver is the perfect heavy-duty loom for smaller spaces. Its lightweight yet sturdy construction makes treadling nearly effortless while producing high quality weaves.

The tall breast beam (32" height) makes for easier tie-up and comfortable treadling. We're especially big fans of the well-designed swinging (overhead) beater, which we find more ergonomically appealing and which can be easily kept back when not in use. The beater 'cradle' (at the top from which the beater hangs and swings) gives you the option to move the beater backward or forward to adjust the depth of your shed, thereby giving you more room to weave and less frequent need to advance.

The Julia floor loom has a 27” weaving width but the overall width is only 32 inches so it can still be moved through most doorways even once it is assembled.

Dimensions: Width, 32" wide by 32" deep. Solid wooden frame and high-quality metal hardware. Given the small overall footprint it's no surprise that the treadles are a little narrower than some other brands, however they are not so closely spaced that they are problematic and the leverage is quite nice, not heavy.

Includes Texsolv tie-ups kit and heddles, as well as a steel reed and complete instructions. Available dents: 5, 6, 8, 10, or 12 DPI
