Welcome to the Halcyon Yarn Classroom—a bright, thoughtfully designed space created for learning, making, and gathering. Flooded with soft light from large north-facing windows and soaring ceilings, the room feels open and inspiring while staying cozy and welcoming.

Our newly renovated, first-floor classroom is fully equipped for serious making and easy learning. You’ll find a commercial sink and dedicated equipment for dyeing, felting, weaving, and spinning, plus a library of specialty reference books and a well-stocked selection of essential fiber arts tools and notions. Our flexible layout makes it easy to shift from intimate, hands-on workshops to larger classes and presentations, with a whiteboard, screen/projector, and display space for demos and works-in-progress. Comfortable seating and adjustable craft tables (with risers when needed) let us tailor the room to the way you learn and create best.

All are welcome here—we love meeting new people, and we’re committed to creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, supported, and included. Our classroom is designed to be as accessible as it is capable, so you can focus on learning and making with ease. Please let us know if there's something we can do to make your time here as enjoyable as possible.

Free events & groups – Registration is encouraged, but not required, for free events and groups in case we need to contact you with scheduling updates. If you'd like to preregister, please add the event date to your cart and checkout; no payment is required.

During classes, students can use or rent studio equipment as needed. Parking is available on-site, there are no steps to enter, and you’ll find an adjacent restroom and easy access to the shop—so everything you need is right at hand. And because good making goes best with good care, you’re always welcome to help yourself to our complimentary organic tea selection!

Whether you’re joining us for a focused technical workshop or dropping in for a relaxed creative gathering, the Halcyon Yarn Classroom is a flexible, well-equipped, and welcoming place to learn, explore, and connect. See you soon!
